LetTheMusicMove are supporting the Save Our Touring Arts Industry Protest which aims to raise awareness around the costs and red tape faced by UK musicians and UK music businesses when full-scale live touring of Europe resumes.

#LetTheMusicMove have teamed up with ‘Thank EU for The Music’, ‘Carry on touring’ and Bectu who are supporting the joint initiative with The Musicians Union and Incorporated Society for Musicians in the campaign to save our touring arts industries post Brexit.

This Saturday musicians and artists will be gathering outside The Royal Albert Hall on The Last Night of The Proms to show solidarity and raise awareness to the plight of our touring arts industries.

There will be musicians representing a range of genres including folk, classical pop, Brazilian, soul, jazz, dance music.

Alongside this, a social media campaign aiming to spread the message around the campaigns will be launched on Friday 8th September.

Schedule

4pm – 5.40pm – 3 entrances. 3 x pa’s – 4 artists per PA doing a mini set.

4pm – 6pm – Lauri Love will be hosting a mini party from his sound system.

The Steps – Headline Act (Prince Consort rd) 6pm – 7.45pm –

From 6pm to 8pm: All musicians with giant flags representing all European member states, and supporters congregate on the steps creating an impressive visual.

6.45 -7.30pm Ilana Lorraine (singer songwriter) to perform 2 pieces with strings and a choir. All musicians, singers, orchestra drummers and volunteers assemble to perform three powerful songs, emblematic of our campaign

#LetTheMusicMove is urging the Government to act now to mitigate the slew of Brexit-related expenditure, restrictions and bureaucracy which is making EU touring unviable and threatens the future success of British music.
